I’m back.
On Aug. 28, I experienced a massive heart attack, which led to a triple bypass operation on Sept. 2 and an unusually long period of recovery. I was finally discharged yesterday and, while I am a long way from recovered, I am clearly out of the woods and on the mend.
I was blessed to have a world-class surgical team from Stanford University operating out of the VA Hospital in Palo Alto, excellent nursing care, lots of family and community prayer support and a strong personal spiritual path that allowed me to maintain an attitude of positive confidence throughout.
I am not yet ready to resume daily publication here but I will undoubtedly have a tidbit or two in coming days. Today, typing this small amount of text haa tired me more than I would have imagined. In part, that’s because I’ve made literally dozens of typos. My hands are clearly out of practice and probably still suffering from the festooning of IV needles they have hosted in the past 17 days.
Thanks for hanging in there with me.
