A Course in Miracles
The official combined three-books-in-one version of "A Course in Miracles" from the Foundation for Inner Peace.
A Return to Love
Marianne Williamson's classic best-seller applying "A Course in Miracles" to the relationships that make up our daily lives.
Autobiography of a Yogi
A highly influential, eminently readable story of the life of Paramahansa Yogananda, the man credited with popularizing Hinduism and meditation in America. A real must-read for students of spiritual truth.
Discover the Power Within You
American metaphysician Eric Butterworth's treatise on mystical Christianity. This book led me to investigate Unity, which remains my spiritual home to this day.
The Power of Now
Eckhart Tolle's classic work on the importance of living in the Now Moment. While it can be dense at times, the lessons it contains are real gems.
The God Code
A fascinating study combining the ancient art of Gematria with modern genomic studies to discover and decode a hidden message directly from God in our DNA. Whatever you think of his conclusions, the study itself is engaging.
The Isaiah Effect
This was the first of Gregg Braden's books that I read and I found it deeply satisfying and immensely entertaining.
The Turning Point
A delightful book that was later turned into a fabulous movie/video by author Fritjof Capra's brother Frank. An excellent treatise on system thinking and the interconnectedness of many modern-day problems and issues.
Mindwalk Video
The video "Mindwalk" is a superbly fascinating movie based on Fritjof Capra's "The Turning Point" book above. It stars three Hollywood heavyweights in what could have been a boring talking-heads kind of exploration but it is absolutely absorbing.
The Tao of Physics
The convergence of quantum physics and mystical spirituality is a cornerstone of my own evolving belief system and teachings. This book, along with Gary Zhukav's "Dance of the Wu Li Mastersl," served as my first introductions to these fascinating topics.
The Web of Life
A brilliant work by Fritjof Capra, in which he analyzes the interconnectedness of all things. This is a key tenet of my own spiritual teaching and this book has been highly influential in my life.
The Spiritual Universe
Prof. Fred Alan Wolf is a physicist who is unafraid to be spiritually challenging. Besides that, he's not a bad writer. This book has been a major influence in my spiritual studies.
The Holographic Universe
More than any other book, this one has enlightened me with respect to the holographic nature of the Universe and introduced me to the key idea of a holomovement. If you want to study my teachings, you must read this book.
Conversations With God, Book I
Neale Donald Walsch emerged from homelessness and obscurity to become a major international spiritual leader and rock star with this and the rest of this series. I found Volume I to be life-changing; the rest of the series is less interesting to me.
The Gnostic Gospels
Elaine Pagels does her homework, knows her stuff and writes with clarify and ease. This book is one of the cornerstones of my library as I explore the role mysticism and metaphysics played in the Christian Church before its calcification in the fourth century.
The Gospel According to Jesus
Stephen Mitchell picks up where Thomas Jefferson left off with his own rendition of Scripture. Mitchell does a thorough job of analyzing what Jesus said and did and what about his ministry has been accurately recorded for us in the gospels. Foundational stuff.
Dancing Wu Li Masters
This book by Gary Zukav came to me about the same time as Fritjof Capra's "The Tao of Physics." I recommend them both but if you only have time or inclination for one of them, Zukav's book is more thorough and more readable.
How to Know God
Deepak Chopra has written so many books I love that I will probably end up with most of his titles on this page before I'm done. "How to Know God" came along at a particularly important crossroads in my spiritual walk and had an enormous influence.
A History of God
Karen Armstrong is perhaps uniquely qualified to write a book such as this which traces the development and evolution of mankind's beliefs about God. She covers Judaism, Christanity and Islam so thoroughly and yet so entertainingly that this book takes its place near the head of the list of great books on the subject.
